In an inspiring display of community-driven initiative, the people of Bhawanigarh have come together to form a united committee for the betterment of their town. This committee comprises individuals from various political backgrounds, including the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), Indian National Congress (INC), the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Their primary objective is to foster the development of Bhawanigarh and address critical issues faced by the town.
During their inaugural meeting, committee members discussed pressing concerns, with the town's cleanliness and the malfunctioning street lights on the national highway taking center stage.
Goldy Toor, a member of the committee, voiced his concerns regarding Bhawanigarh's cleanliness. He alleged that the town had received a substantial sum of 65 lakhs for cleanliness under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Campaign). Shockingly, these funds reportedly remained unused and were eventually returned due to alleged incompetence on the part of town officials.
The cleanliness issue in Bhawanigarh is one that has been deeply felt by the local residents, prompting them to unite beyond political affiliations for a solution.
Additionally, the malfunctioning street lights along the national highway pose a significant safety hazard for commuters. This issue has led to accidents and other road-related incidents, further underscoring the need for immediate attention.
The formation of this united committee, driven by the people of Bhawanigarh, marks a heartening step toward addressing the town's development needs. This grassroots initiative highlights the community's determination to prioritize their town's welfare and progress over political divisions. Together, they embark on a journey to find lasting solutions to these pressing issues and enhance Bhawanigarh's overall quality of life.
