Goldy Toor, a member of the committee, voiced his concerns regarding Bhawanigarh's cleanliness. He alleged that the town had received a substantial sum of 65 lakhs for cleanliness under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Campaign). Shockingly, these funds reportedly remained unused and were eventually returned due to alleged incompetence on the part of town officials.
